AIA International Limited is embarking on an ambitious mission to create a more sustainable future, and we're seeking a talented Strategic Business Development Lead to join our Marketing, Distribution & Partnership team.

This exciting role presents a unique opportunity to make a positive impact across various channels by inspiring meaningful connections with customers, partners, and stakeholders. You will be responsible for driving sales strategy and collaborating with the Channel Head to align with overall channel direction.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Will possess a university degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience, preferably with 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Will demonstrate self-motivation and a self-driven personality, capable of working independently.
  • Will have excellent organizing and management skills.
  • Will have a solid understanding of insurance and investment products.
  • Will possess good interpersonal and communication skills, both in English and Chinese/Mandarin.
  • Will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Will obtain any necessary licenses for regulated activities.

About the Role:

This Strategic Business Development Lead position requires a strong business acumen and ability to develop new business ideas. Key responsibilities include:
  • Assisting the Channel Head in implementing and executing business plans and initiatives.
  • Leading a unit of Product Development Managers (PDMs) to achieve business targets.
  • Continuously developing the Brokerage channel sales platform.
  • Sales management and regular review of business performance against set sales KPIs.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with partners and their key personnel to drive new initiatives and penetrate the market.
  • Cultivating a culture of quality, compliance, and consistency within the brokerage team.
  • Conducting regular reviews of business performance and sales quality practices to ensure alignment with AIA's standards and principles.
  • Fostering digital enablement utilization both internally and externally.
  • Growing subordinates through ongoing career development planning.
  • Providing on-the-job coaching and support for day-to-day partner-related issues.
  • Sharing best practices and market intelligence with colleagues and being a team player.
  • Ensuring team members performing regulated activities hold the necessary licenses and meet licensing requirements.
