Job Summary

Citi's Commercial Bank (CCB) is a solutions-led business catering to the needs of mid-sized and emerging corporates. The Mid-Corp Relationship Manager is a key professional in this area, tasked with adapting the latest trends in their field to drive business growth and client satisfaction.

This role is responsible for joining forces with the Consumer & Retail, and Business & Professional Services Industry verticals. Excellent communication skills are essential to guide, influence, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional client experiences. Accountability for business results or authoritative advice on operations is also a key aspect of the job.

Main Responsibilities
  • Client calling to deepen relationships and proactively address future needs, roadblocks, or risks and expectations.
  • Identifying customers' needs and cross-selling opportunities to deepen and increase share of wallet.
  • Working with product specialists and subject matter experts to structure innovative and customized solutions that meet clients' individual needs.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders on client on-boarding and retention, ensuring Know Your Client (KYC) and compliance deliverables are met.
  • Maximizing client experience by sharing market updates, trends, and intelligence proactively.
  • Driving innovation in solutions provided to clients and further developing the business as needed.
  • Executing strategic initiatives launched centrally at all levels.
  • Managing the credit relationship of the client, coordinating and supervising the entire process to ensure proper policy and institutional process application.
  • Maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies/guidelines at all times.
  • Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, with consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.


Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Sound knowledge of banking and investment products and processes, with a track record of providing sound banking and financial advice and solutions to clients.
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced credit skills, with experience in structuring complex deals being an advantage.
  • Expert-level Early Warning Detection skills.
  • Solid credit skills, capable of structuring credit deals and guiding staff through the credit deal approval process.
  • Advanced knowledge of Citi's credit-process and credit-appetite.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting and coordinate multi-functional teams to provide an exceptional client experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills (e.g., negotiation, consultative skills, leadership).
  • Ability to work under pressure while making sound decisions.
  • Highly focused, able to rapidly identify key priorities and clearly communicate them.
  • Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business.
  • A proactive approach to strengthening business relationships with clients, delivering a simple, secure, and seamless client experience.
  • Direct experience in covering Consumer & Retail and/or Business & Professional Services is an advantage.


Education
  • Bachelor's/University degree, with a Master's degree being an advantage.
