Institutional Sales Manager for Insurance Clients in Greater China

As an Institutional Sales Manager for Insurance Clients in Greater China, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key clients in the insurance sector. Your primary goal will be to understand their investment direction, provide advice and solutions leveraging Goldman Sachs's global resources and products, and ultimately drive commercial impact.
About This Role
We are seeking a driven professional with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. As part of the Asia-ex Japan Greater China Institutional Sales Team, this individual will work closely with senior team members to retain, manage, enhance and develop Insurance client relationships in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Development: Develop deep relationships with key clients and our target clients base within the insurance sector, from mid to senior level.
- Sales Strategy Implementation: Work with the existing institutional sales team on the implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans in order to expand our business in Greater China over the long term.
- Liaison Point: Act as a liaison point for the Client Solutions Group, connecting our Chinese Insurance business with the rest of the firm not only in China but within asset management regionally and globally.
- Cross-Selling Opportunities: Identify potential cross-selling opportunities and to work effectively across other divisions in order to achieve common client goals.
- Pitch Book Preparation: Manage client Request for Proposal responses with the relevant teams and prepare presentation material pitch books by working closely with the internal teams (e.g. portfolio management team, product management team, client services team, etc.).
Requirements
* Good knowledge and passion for the asset management business and capital markets
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in institutional coverage needed
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, and ability to drive tasks to completion in a highly organized manner, Fast learner who is able handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, Outstanding team player with strong interpersonal skills, ability to build trust and confidence of colleagues, and collaborate well with others.
- Educational Background: Undergraduate degree in business or finance related studies
- Licensing: HK SFC Type 1 license required, or will be required to be obtained within 3 months of joining
