Responsibilities
  • Lead Institutional Business Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development and relationship management strategy to build the institutional business in Korea.
  • Client Knowledge: Maintain a detailed understanding of key business and strategic issues facing target clients.
  • Client Acquisition and Service: Acquire and provide ongoing service to new and existing clients and mandates, ensuring all operational, compliance, and legal requirements are met.
  • Product Marketing: Market the full range of PIMCO's products and services to the assigned investor base, developing and implementing a plan to identify prospects and raise assets.
Ideal Experience
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in growing the institutional business in Korea, including official institutions, commercial banks, insurance companies, asset managers, pensions, and mutual aids.
  • Leadership and Influence: Possess the stature, gravitas, and seniority to operate at the highest level both internally and externally.
  • Sales and Relationship Management: Exceptional sales closing, relationship management, and negotiation skills, capable of driving own agenda.
  • Team Player: Collegiate team player, experienced and comfortable working in an international operating environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the investment management industry, particularly in meeting client demands at a sophisticated level.
  • Market Expertise: Significant understanding of economics, capital markets, and investment concepts, with 6-10 years of experience within the asset management industry.
