Job Summary
Maintain the smooth daily operation of the claims section, ensuring timely and accurate processing of claims. Monitor the claims operational flow, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess claims in compliance with authority levels, making recommendations to senior management as needed.
- Support the claims function in prompt and accurate settlement of claims, negotiating with various parties as required.
- Ensure claims procedures are in compliance with company rules, implementing procedures to prevent claims abuse.
- Meet claim service standards and turnaround times, involving in approving claims cases within own authority limits.
- Handle enquiries and complaints from customers, sales force, and internal staff, providing administration support in claims area.
- Analyze and provide advice on complaint/appeal claim cases, independently handling strategy and implementation.
- Prepare management reports, statistical and analytical claims reports, and provide proactive suggestions to enhance quality of work.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma holder or High School graduate with relevant claims work experience.
- Professional qualification in Life Insurance, including FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute), is preferable.
- Over 2 years experience in Medical Insurance claims handling, with knowledge of Medical insurance products, claims procedure, and operations.
- Experience in handling claims-related projects is highly preferred, with basic medical skills and strong customer-oriented mindset.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Chinese word processing.
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
