Front Desk Coordinator

Key Responsibilities
As a Front Desk Coordinator, you will be responsible for assigning rooms to guests based on their requests and preferences. This includes pre-registering designated guests and preparing key packets. You will also be responsible for coordinating check-in and check-out procedures for arriving groups, reviewing and tracking room changes, and communicating status to appropriate staff. Additionally, you will confirm reservations and cancellations, review out-of-order rooms daily, and ensure that rates match market codes and document exceptions. Furthermore, you will verify and adjust billing for guests, file guest paperwork or documentation, and set up and process all guest check-ins and check-outs. You will also be responsible for activating room keys, securing valid payment, and identifying any over-commitments. Finally, you will perform duplicate reservation checks, block rooms, and run daily reports.
Key Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, protect company assets, and follow all company policies and procedures. Additionally, you will need to be able to welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. You will also need to be able to speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
Work Environment
You will be working in a hotel environment, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods of time. You will also be using computers and/or POS systems to enter and locate information, and will need to be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
