Front Desk Representative

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Hotel Guest Services Representative to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Manage guest payments, including processing room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit card transactions.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrival and address any housekeeping-related issues.
- Provide directions and information to guests regarding the hotel and local area attractions.
- Run daily reports on guest arrivals and departures, and identify any special requests or concerns.
- Perform cash handling duties, including counting bank at the beginning and end of shift and balancing receipts according to Accounting specifications.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or prior hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks as needed.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling responsibilities.
- Familiarity with hotel operations and procedures an asset.
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000, depending on location and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
