About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Business Development Manager to cultivate and manage client relationships within our SME and Commercial Banking division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate New Opportunities: Drive performance towards KPI targets by acquiring new SME accounts and increasing CASA deposit balances.
  • Develop Sales Pipeline: Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by leveraging your network to generate leads, while collaborating with branch teams to uncover SME loan opportunities.
  • Align Financial Solutions: Conduct thorough needs assessments to align the bank's financial products and services with customer requirements, identifying opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling within the SME and Retail Banking sectors.
  • Manage Loan Applications: Manage the complete loan application process, ensuring a smooth transition from submission through to drawdown.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with KYC/CDD protocols for all clients, conducting risk assessments for new customers in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain Credit Quality: Prepare credit proposals and conduct ongoing reviews to uphold credit quality, adhering to the bank's policies and guidelines.
  • Promote Customer Satisfaction: Deliver exceptional service quality to SME Business Banking clients, addressing inquiries professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business banking, specifically focusing on SME and commercial lending.
  • Knowledge in the business of Commercial Account Opening and KYC will be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of banking products and services tailored for SMEs and commercial clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and nurture client relationships.
  • Qualification in IIQE (Paper 1, 2, 3) will have an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess client needs and provide effective financial solutions.
  • Proficiency in both English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus.
