Strategic Account Manager

Role Overview:
Kuehne+Nagel is seeking an experienced Strategic Account Manager to join its team. As a key member of the Sales Team, you will be responsible for delivering customer excellence and business growth.
About the Role:
The primary objective of this role is to deliver against targets for assigned verticals by acquiring and retaining customers through innovative industry approaches. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the following key objectives:
- To negotiate contracts and manage assigned accounts in accordance with agreed targets, goals, and guidelines.
- To design dedicated solutions for assigned clients, ensuring value creation in the process.
- To ensure compliance with sales management processes, providing accurate and timely updates in the CRM and sales systems.
- To proactively monitor monthly performance against defined targets, intervening promptly in case of deviations.
- To create and maintain account plans based on the key account planning process, including sign-off on the overall strategy.
- To effectively hand over and transition new business to operations, ensuring customer requirements are met and commitments delivered.
- To establish sustainable partnerships with assigned customers by conducting regular business review sessions, including looking into processes for continuous improvement and innovation.
- To represent Kuehne+Nagel as an industry expert and build external network relations with senior management in customer organizations.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need at least 8 years of working experience in related functions, fluency in English communications, and strong leadership skills and knowledge of key account management. French or Spanish speaking is a plus.
