Job Summary

This leadership role oversees the catering sales efforts for a hotel, focusing on local and group/convention business. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing catering sales revenue and operation budgets, providing forecasting reports, and working with the management team to create and implement a catering sales/marketing plan addressing revenue, customers, and market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solicit and book local catering business and develop group business
  • Develop menus that drive sales and assist in selling, implementing, and follow-through of catering promotions
  • Execute and support Marriott's Customer Service Standards and hotel's Brand Standards
  • Participate in daily service basics of the brand, such as the Spirit to Serve Daily Basics, Savvy Service Basics, or Morning Meeting
Requirements

A 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, plus 4 years of experience in sales and marketing or a related professional area, is required. Alternatively, a 4-year bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of experience is also acceptable. A 4-year college degree is preferred.
