Purpose of the Role
This key corporate governance role is responsible for ensuring compliance with group policies and adherence to statutory regulations. The successful candidate will act as the Key Person in Control Function (KPIC) under Group Wide Supervision of FWD Group by the HK Insurance Authority.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Compliance function in the FWD Group, setting strategies and driving performance and results.
- Develop and maintain a Group-wide Compliance Framework and Programme, providing assurance to the FWD Board, Group Risk Committee, and Group Audit Committee.
- Maintain regular contact with the Group-wide Supervisor and oversee preparation for Annual Supervisory College.
- Ensure business unit compliance functions are adequately resourced and function effectively.
- Act as the second line of defence, advising and assisting countries to effectively manage compliance risk, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in insurance/finance, preferably in Asia, in compliance/legal functions.
- Degree from a recognized university.
- Interaction with boards and regulatory authorities.
Estimated Salary: $250,000 - $300,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
