Summary of the Job:

The position will serve as the Regional Demand Planner for the APAC region. The scope will focus on demand planning of the footwear product line under the New Balance brand. This individual will work closely with the regional markets on forecast, including process design, implementation, and continuous improvement efforts that align with the regional corporate requirements. This position is responsible for providing an accurate regional demand plan at the style & month level, using the corporate Demand Planning system. One of the key tasks is to foster an open and honest relationship with other members of the organization. This position will take direction from the Regional Demand Manager and work closely with the markets, training the team members on new corporate systems and processes. This individual will also work with the APAC markets to improve the process to generate the forecast that would lead to improved forecast accuracy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Regional Demand Manager in developing and managing the processes for all APAC markets. Recommend improvements and educate team members on the process.
  • Manage the APAC markets footwear forecast. Maintain said forecasts in the Demand Planning system.
  • Collaborate with Regional Leadership to align on total regional volumes.
  • Support the Regional Demand Manager with relevant reporting metrics and analysis to support the business.
  • Assess and improve on the current regional forecasting process including collection of inputs, data manipulation, identification of new sources of relevant information, forecast model selection and testing, and ongoing support of the Global Demand Planning system.
  • Serve as key liaison among the region to ensure that product flow is optimized by collaborating with regional markets. Ensure the product data is available in a timely manner (including DA) to support aligned forecasting dates.
  • Assist in the definition and implementation of best practices, related tools, and reporting capabilities to improve the overall process.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistical forecasting methods with the understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
  • Experience with Sales and Operations Planning process along with the ability to effectively interact with executive leadership through excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of o9 DP, SAP/APO, Oracle Demantra, or other demand management software is desired.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, manage time effectively, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and consistently meet required deadlines.
