About the Department

The Wholesale Banking division operates under a dynamic business model, delivering a range of financial services and solutions tailored to assist clients in achieving their strategic objectives. Our goal is to be the leading provider of banking services for commercial banking entities, including small and medium enterprises, large corporations, financial institutions, and multinational corporations. Our dedicated teams collaborate seamlessly across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets, and Group Retail to provide comprehensive solutions to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving all financial and business objectives set for the Cash Sales team.
  • Present and promote cash management solutions to both new and existing clients, including Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) such as funds, insurance companies, and public sector entities. Develop a client engagement strategy to identify potential opportunities.
  • Manage and enhance the existing client portfolio, focusing on increasing cash management usage and ensuring UOB is recognized as the primary banking partner.
  • Advocate for our electronic banking capabilities, encouraging clients to utilize our digital channels while collaborating with the implementation team to enhance customer engagement.
  • Actively support the launch of new products by promoting our service offerings.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date sales materials and product knowledge.
  • Optimize business opportunities through effective cross-selling of products.
  • Organize and participate in marketing initiatives and events for Transaction Banking clients.
  • Gather and maintain market intelligence, including competitor offerings and pricing strategies.
  • Identify areas for product improvement and enhancements to boost competitiveness and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure sales discipline by keeping all management information systems updated, including sales pipelines and deal tracking reports.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cash sales, particularly with local corporate banks, NBFIs, and public sector clients.
  • Experience in implementation and client services related to cash management solutions is advantageous.
  • A proactive self-starter with strong interpersonal, sales, and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
  • Strong influencing and networking capabilities, with a deep understanding of cash management solutions and client behavior.
  • ECF certification is preferred.
