About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Sales Vice President to join our team at United Overseas Bank. As a key member of our Wholesale Bank function, you will be responsible for delivering financial services and solutions to our clients in Asia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with client-facing teams to consult on trade sale opportunities and provide product expertise to deliver solutions to clients.
  • Develop opportunities around Open Account trade solutions, with a solid understanding of working capital management cycles.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships, working closely with Relationship Managers to ensure trade facilities are well structured and efficiently established.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure client requirements are timely addressed.
  • Identify potential clients through data mining and market intelligence, and follow up on new leads and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials, and keep current with product knowledge.
  • Monitor client revenue trends to ensure revenue targets are met.
  • Assist in organizing sales and marketing events for clients.
  • Source and maintain local market and industry information, competitor product offerings, and pricing.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years of trade sales experience, especially with MNCs, large local corporations, and Chinese private-owned enterprises.
  • Strong understanding of trade and Financial Supply Chain Management/Receivable Finance products and services.
  • Solid experience in trade finance technical, operational, and regulatory concepts.
  • Demonstrated success in deals closure and prospecting.
  • Credit knowledge and analytical skills are a plus.
  • Innovative mindset and ability to think out-of-box.
  • Certified ECF qualification is preferred.
