Provide Career Advice to MBA Students
As a key member of the MBA Career Services team, the appointee will provide career guidance to MBA students from diverse backgrounds through regular one-on-one meetings or group communications. The role involves adding value to career services by offering practical advice to students on understanding job market trends, identifying opportunities, and preparing for interviews.
Job Matching for MBA Students
The appointee will work collaboratively with other career advisors to review each student's career interests and job search situation. Providing insights and tailoring approaches to support each MBA student and matching them with relevant job opportunities is a critical aspect of the role.
Support Career Services in Career Training Development
The appointee will gather up-to-date information on MBA job market trends and support Career Services in developing a comprehensive view for continuously improving career training programs that enhance students' employability. Possessing knowledge of corporate learning & development or recruitment processes in industries such as Banking & Finance, Consulting, Multinational Companies, or Technology Firms will be an advantage.
Corporate and Employer Relations
The appointee will build new corporate partnerships and maintain relationships with current recruiters in Hong Kong and beyond to provide job opportunities for students. Developing industry knowledge and providing students with market insights to facilitate their job search strategies is essential.
Career Activities
The appointee will be involved in planning and communicating with speakers and students to ensure students take full advantage of career activities, including recruitment talks, industry executive sharing, virtual career events, career workshops, and key events like Career Fair and Overseas Career Treks.
Administrative & Reporting
The appointee will support the team in preparing presentations, conducting data analysis, and compiling reports.
Ad-hoc Tasks
The appointee will support ad-hoc projects or administrative tasks according to seasonal team needs.
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of work experience, ideally from a Recruitment, Human Resources, Corporate Learning & Development, or relevant background. Passion in developing long-term corporate relationships is a plus. The ideal candidate should have a proactive work attitude and demonstrate a sense of ownership. Being in a team that handles a large number of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, self-confidence, interpersonal skills, and a sense of urgency will be important for success. Ability to deal with ambiguous situations, willingness to find solutions actively, and curiosity are also essential. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are required (Word, Teams, OneDrive, Sway, PowerPoint, Excel – ability to use Excel Pivot tables and create statistical dashboards is a plus). (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
