Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Career Center team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for managing career education programs, conducting career-related training sessions, liaising with external trainers, and providing one-on-one career advising to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective career education programs tailored to meet the needs of HKUST students;
  • Deliver high-quality career-related training sessions, workshops, and presentations to engage students and facilitate their career growth;
  • Liaise with external trainers, speakers, and logistics providers to ensure seamless event execution;
  • Conduct one-on-one career advising sessions to provide personalized guidance and support to students;
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to organize job fairs, corporate events, and internship programs that benefit both students and employers;
  • Support the development of a robust career education infrastructure, including online resources and physical facilities;
  • Maintain relationships with industry partners, alumni, and other stakeholders to foster a network of career opportunities for HKUST graduates;
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and expertise in career counseling, education, and related fields.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of post-qualification work experience in a relevant field, preferably in higher education or a similar setting;
  • An excellent understanding of the HKUST community, its values, and its goals, as well as a passion for supporting students in their career aspirations;
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build lasting relationships;
  • A proven track record of program management, team leadership, and collaboration, with the capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively under pressure;
  • A solid command of English and Chinese languages, with excellent written and spoken skills, as well as proficiency in MS Office applications and other relevant software tools;
  • A willingness to work flexibly, sometimes outside normal office hours, to accommodate the needs of students, staff, and stakeholders;
  • A strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and integrity, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in all aspects of work.

What We Offer:

  • A highly competitive salary range of HKD 60,000 - 80,000 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience;
