Job Summary

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Development Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of cultural programs that promote youth engagement and community development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceive, manage, and execute local and international cultural programs that cater to diverse audiences and interests
  • Coordinate and manage a team to ensure effective administrative support for program implementation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools, artists, and stakeholders to promote program success
  • Design and implement marketing strategies to reach designated target groups and the public
  • Identify opportunities to expand the unit's resources network and partnerships
  • Develop and maintain effective systems and procedures to monitor and record program data
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in the cultural and arts sector

Requirements

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree holder in Arts, Event/Cultural Management, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the cultural or arts sector, including at least 1 year as a team leader

Skills and Abilities

Excellent command of English, Putonghua, and Cantonese, written and verbally; strong proposal writing skills; extensive network and connections within the local art scene, production companies, government agencies, and sponsors; in-depth knowledge of the Hong Kong cultural landscape

Personal Attributes

Strategic thinking and planning; exceptional organizational and project management skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; passion for the arts and commitment to youth development and community engagement

Additional Requirements

Interested candidates are advised to submit a portfolio of past projects in which they had a significant leading role, including information about the scale, content, budget, and other relevant attributes of each project
