Regional Business Development Director

We are seeking a seasoned Regional Business Development Director to join our team at Polymath Search. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing business strategies focused on wealth management, private markets, and alternative investments.
Job Description:The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Asset or Wealth Management industry, with a proven track record in client relationship development and management. They must also hold an SFC license as a representative for Type 1 and 4 activities (if based in Hong Kong).
Responsibilities:- Facilitating transactions: building and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective clients while fostering deep relationships with both clients and prospects, navigating complex negotiations within a multi-stakeholder sales process.
- Market insights: educating clients on Private Markets and Alternative investment products, providing insights on market trends and analysis while effectively communicating the firm's investment solutions and capabilities to clients and partners.
- Continuously gathering and sharing insights on the competitive landscape, investor preferences, and market trends with colleagues worldwide.
- Strong academic background in a relevant field.
- Over 16 years of extensive experience in the Asset or Wealth Management industry, with a proven track record in client relationship development and management.
- Must hold an SFC license as a representative for Type 1 and 4 activities (if based in Hong Kong).
- Significant experience in marketing private markets and alternative investment funds to the private wealth sector, with a strong understanding of the distribution model highly preferred.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Outstanding presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust and effectively manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly collaborative, with a strategic approach to business opportunities and client management.
- Self-motivated, independent, and adaptable to a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment, with a proactive, hands-on attitude.
