Ground Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all operations related to ground service equipment and heavy machinery, ensuring optimal performance, cost management, and adherence to safety regulations.
- Guarantee the delivery of prompt, efficient, and high-quality services to airlines and clients.
- Manage resource allocation, including reviewing work schedules, staffing, equipment, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency while controlling costs.
- Uphold and implement safety standards as mandated by airlines, regulatory bodies, and the company.
- Advise on the procurement of ground service equipment, materials, and supplies necessary for the upkeep of equipment and facilities.
- Ensure regular inspections, repairs, and maintenance are conducted to maximize equipment utilization in line with maintenance schedules, preventing operational disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Ensure all operational vehicles are licensed in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop training resources for operators, create procedural manuals, and conduct training sessions for team members, ensuring proper documentation of training records.
- Participate in investigations and assessments of staff-related incidents, including injuries and operational occurrences, and enforce disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Act as a liaison for external stakeholders regarding operational matters, including airlines and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in managing ground service equipment in an aviation context is advantageous.
- Technical qualifications in motor vehicle maintenance are a plus.
- Valid driving licenses for classes 1 and 2 are required.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
- Skilled in MS Office applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a strong analytical mindset and excellent organizational and presentation capabilities.
