About the Role

Citi is seeking a highly skilled Custody Operations Control Project Management Manager to join our team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our Securities Services team, you will play a pivotal role in enabling us to transform and achieve our target operating model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute securities transaction processing related to Securities Clearance Settlement
  • Formulate procedures, techniques, and contribute to the development of new techniques that increase team productivity, ensuring the entire team meets or exceeds performance goals
  • Serve as an analytical and procedural expert, and as the first point of escalation for staff members, management, and internal/external clients
  • Escalate control gaps and issues to senior management as needed
  • Identify control gaps during the settlement cycle and implement appropriate solutions to mitigate any risk or control losses
  • Analyze data to identify control deficiencies and resolve discovered issues through implementing appropriate procedures
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervising the activity of others and creating accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
  • Manage change projects related to Custody Operations, digitization, and work alongside our Operations teams to deliver automation solutions to solve operational challenges
  • Facilitate project meetings, ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and reports for tracking progress
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in a securities transactions processing and settlement, especially for the Hong Kong Market, China Connect
  • Good PowerPoint presentation skills, project management
  • Good communication with departmental knowledge of this role
  • In-depth knowledge of settlement cycle concepts and procedures to resolve settlement issues
  • Previous people management experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
