We are seeking a highly skilled Custody Manager to join our team at Bank Of China (Hong Kong) Limited. As a key member of our custody operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of settlement and clearing, corporate action, FX, cash management, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the custody operation, including settlement and clearing, corporate action, FX, cash management, and reporting.
- Ensure that all services delivered are complying with current legislative and regulatory requirements and the Bank's operational risk guidelines.
- Evaluate and propose solutions on client requirements from operation and system perspectives.
- Enable operational changes and system enhancements to meet with the changing need of the business.
- Assist the Team Management to address the market's needs on an ongoing basis and provide solutions according to the market demand.
- Plan and execute UAT tests and handle other ad-hoc projects.
- 1 year of relevant experience in custody business.
- General understanding and knowledge about various markets and investment instruments (e.g. Equities, fixed incomes etc.) as well as their related operating modes, clearing and settlement procedures, laws and regulations, commonly-used SWIFT formats etc.
- Familiar with different local market requirements and operating requirements etc.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and co-ordination skills to work with the team.
- Independent in thinking, arranging work and dealing with business partners or service providers; flexible and client-oriented in rendering client-fronting services.
- Meticulous with details; diligent and efficient in follow-through.
- Able to work effectively under pressure arisen from workload and time constraints.
- Sensitive to international market developments and industry initiatives.
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua) and English.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
