About the Role

The Associate Director, Greater China Institutional Sales will be responsible for developing new business with major institutions in the Greater China region. This includes meeting defined sales targets through the implementation of a successful sales plan that targets major institutions in the Greater China region as well as Consultant Relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to demonstrate a strong track record in sales and marketing within the Greater China markets. They will combine individual drive with flexibility and team-orientated qualities.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop new business with major institutions in the Greater China region.
- Meet defined sales targets through the implementation of a successful sales plan that targets major institutions in the Greater China region as well as Consultant Relationships.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional sales accounts and Consultants via a strategic programme of calls, meetings and attendance at industry events.
- Play a key role in servicing existing clients of AXA IM in the Greater China region as well as cross-selling activities.
- Effectively communicate the investment style, products and performance to prospective clients across all major asset classes.
- Build strong internal relationships with the Investment Teams and other relevant internal functions to provide market intelligence and to identify new product opportunities via regular meetings and informal contacts.

Requirements

- 7 years in an institutional sales role from the asset management industry with solid track record in Greater China.
- Experience in servicing institutional clients and Consultants in the Greater China region.
- Solid client contacts with major institutions and Consultants in Greater China Region.
- Strong ability to identify business opportunities, initiate contact and close new business.
- Extensive knowledge in Fixed Income & Equities investing and a thorough understanding of world investment markets and associated products across the increasingly broad spectrum of investment strategy available to institutional clients.
- Fluent in English and Cantonese.
