About The Job Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within the Food & Beverage Service Division, the Bartender – Terrace Boulud is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by providing efficient and courteous service, while maintaining smooth daily operations and the quality service standard of the bar. The role reports to the Beverage Director – Terrace Boulud. Responsibilities Set up the daily bar counter and ensure all condiments needed for food service during the day Meet and greet guests in a professional and efficient manner Replenish the bar stock and maintain the cleanliness of the bar area at all times Provide a quality service according to the guest’s needs Prepare food and beverage products according to the standard in a timely manner Ensure that the storeroom is clean and all items are stored properly at all times Ensure that tables are consistently cleared and re‑set properly Promote daily food and beverage sales and actively up‑sell whenever appropriate Maintain bar tools and equipment in good condition Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head from time to time Qualifications Relevant working experience in a similar capacity in hotel Food & Beverage, preferably with pre‑opening experience in a luxury hotel Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good command of spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese Passion for customer service and the hospitality industry Our Commitment to You Learning & Development – unique programmes to help you grow throughout your career MOstay – complimentary nights and attractive rates for you and your loved ones wherever you go in the world Health & Colleague Wellness – a variety of health benefits and wellness programmes offered to all colleagues globally Retirement Plans – different retirement plans depending on length of service and role We’re Fans.
