Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is looking for a Head Bartender - Terrace Boulud to join our Food & Beverage Service team. About the Job Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within the Food & Beverage Service Division, the Head Bartender - Terrace Boulud is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by providing efficient and courteous service while maintaining smooth daily operations and the quality service standard of the bar. The Head Bartender - Terrace Boulud reports to the Beverage Director - Terrace Boulud. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations, quality service standard and maintenance work of the bar. Support the Beverage Director in leading and overseeing the bar team in any aspect. Take over the closing duties of the bar. Meet and greet guests in a professional and efficient manner. Report any complaints or concerns to the Beverage Director in a timely manner. Be familiar with all brands of spirits and wine in stock and the use of glassware. Keep the storeroom clean and organized at all times. Ensure all equipment and spirits are stored in their designed place. Assist with the monthly training and provide on‑the‑job training as needed. Prepare and manage the distribution of bar tips on bill and cash tips. Ensure that all beverage costs are in line and under control. Carry out duties in a cooperative manner, ensuring team spirit at the highest level, and serve guests in a friendly, helpful, professional and efficient way. Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head from time to time. Qualifications At least 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity in hotel Food & Beverage, preferably with pre‑opening experience in a luxury hotel. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Cantonese, English and Mandarin. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Passionate about customer service and the hospitality industry.
