Our client, a reputable US furniture company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join their team as Sales Director, Hong Kong & Macau. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the sales department, driving sales growth, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Main Scope
Responsible for growing sales for B2B accounts in their territory, including end-users, dealer and A&D accounts. Representatives are responsible for educating their prospects and customers on the benefits of ergonomics and leveraging that knowledge in the sale of our products and services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for full spectrum sales and business development activities of assigned regions to meet and exceed revenue, profitability and product mix sales goals for ergonomic workplace solutions.
- Training, educating, marketing and selling the value of ergonomic workplace solutions to and through partners, key accounts and end users.
- Maintain high level sales activity at all times.
- Achieve and exceed revenue, profitability and product mix sales goals.
- Develop business plan with management for weekly, monthly and quarterly strategic sales objectives.
- Assess sales representative skill sets and create and maintain individual development plans.
- Set up product tests or demonstrations for end-users / partners / key accounts as necessary.
- Deliver presentations for prospective clients.
- Completing sales activity & opportunity reports, sales order paperwork, installation assistance, and sales training as well as maintaining customer contact database.
- Serves as a liaison between customer service and the customer on shipment and quality matters.
- Facilitate partner / key account training sessions on ergonomics products.
- Lead strategic business and forecasting discussions with partner / key account principles to meet sales goals, establish new accounts and grow existing customer sales.
- Establish relationships and educate end-users on ergonomic workplace solutions.
- Complete sales activity tracker, pending business and 30-60-90 day forecast reports for your accounts, bookings and invoiced numbers.
- Assess sales probability and forecast revenue expectations.
- Work effectively and efficiently with other colleagues to achieve corporate objectives and cross communicate on projects with the A&D, Corporate and BDM teams, ensuring all resources are utilized in maximizing our position in winning sales opportunities.
- Achieve YOY revenue growth from partners / key accounts.
Qualification:
Education: University degree in Business Administration or similar relevant degree (Master's or Bachelor's).
Professional experience and track record:
- Minimum 8 years solid sales track record in relevant industries, for example furniture industry and building materials.
- Sales team leadership experience.
- Proven track record in business development, sales management and experience in establishing and managing distributors/ partners/ dealers.
- Strong network with Architect & Design Firms and developers.

- Good communication skills and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literate, working knowledge of MS OFFICE and associated applications are required.
- Successful track record of planning and execution.
- Organized, independent and open minded.
- Perseverance and tenacity.
- Autonomous and a self-reliant working style.
Others:
- Solid understanding of ergonomic principles is a plus.
- Interest and passion in sustainability and wellbeing.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Business travel as needed.
