Responsibilities and Duties

The newly created position is responsible for new business development through new account penetration primarily in the enormous untapped institutional market segments – hospitals and elderly care homes; secondarily in the retail O2O sectors.

  • Demonstrate track record in new business development in related industries.
  • Resourceful in new business generations, from O2O clients acquisition, follow through and account servicing.
  • Achieve additional 10-15% market share and build a high performing team to serve the new customers within first 3 years.

Market Research and Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the adult and baby diaper market.
  • Analyze data to develop insights and strategies for current business and opportunities for expansion.

Sales and Business Development

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
  • Identify and engage with potential clients, including B2B agencies, hospitals (inward and retail), nursing homes, drugstores, and retail chains.
  • Plan and project sales + A&P ROI support on a monthly basis down to each executional detail.
  • Negotiate and close contractual terms (after approval from senior management).
  • B2C experience in opening up direct to consumer channels such as ecommerce and sales via whatsapp/social media.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide ongoing support and excellent training material to clients to maximize product understanding, correct usage and satisfaction.

Marketing and Promotion

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns tailored to the respective channels/customers' needs.
  • Organize and/or participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and other marketing events to promote the product and the company to expand its networking ability.

Product Development and Feedback

  • Work closely with the product development team to provide market feedback and insights for product improvement and innovation.
  • Monitor and report on product performance and customer feedback.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure all business activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; nursing background is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years in sales or business development with direct experience in adult diaper category or related elderly care categories.
  • Strong and good relationship with elderly homes.
  • Well connected to the industry network, direct experience in the industry, ready to go.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth from zero.
  • Deep and hands-on P&L experience – planning sales and A&P ROI experience down to the detail.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills – able to work seamlessly with other departments and with external business.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare market and regulatory environment in Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area.
