We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Distribution and Business Development Manager.
Principal Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting the High Net Worth & Corporate Insurance Distribution team to provide distribution support and project management to CMB channel on Insurance distribution related matters. The priority of this role is to drive new business development and support channel initiatives through projects management and strategies implementation. This is a constantly evolving area and there will be a wide diversity of projects and range of business interfaces including; CMB Channel Sales teams, CMB Strategy and Planning, the various proposition teams within HSBC and from 3rd party product providers, and HSBC’s Risk Management, Compliance Management, IT and Change Delivery teams.
The incumbent is critical for planning, directing and executing all strategic projects & sales support functions for Commercial Insurance. • Pro-actively assisting management to identify projects and change requirements in response to the various operational and processes defined in the Operations, Insurance and Compliance Functional Instructional Manuals (FIMs) in order to ensure business processes are conducted in a compliant format.
Provide constructive recommendations and support the project implementation for the changes as a result of these compliance and or risk related issues. The role will require a creative thinker with good project management and business knowledge to work with the various teams to find solutions for the changes. The role will aim to ensure that business is conducted in a compliant manner and as the environment changes and rules are introduced to assess the situation and recommend appropriate remedial actions Participate in the day-to-day work affairs of the Customer and Distribution team and such other duties and tasks as may be necessary in supporting Head of High Net Worth & Corporate Insurance Distribution Support the implementation of insurance strategic projects within the CMB channel There will be a wide diversity of projects and a wide range of business interfaces including, CMB Channel Sales teams, CMB Strategy and Planning, the various proposition teams within HSBC, and HSBC’s Risk Management, Compliance Management, IT and Change Delivery teams Assist senior line management in promoting a positive risk and compliance culture within the business in line with the Group Standards Requirements Obtain Business or related Degree Possess strong commercial thinking and business acumen – able to highlight key compliance and risk issues that could impact business performance Posses strong communication, organizational and project management skills Must be a team player, enthusiastic in driving and implementing projects, in addition to taking independent initiatives to achieve the required results-
