Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director, Distribution Performance Management and Governance. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating performance parameters and strategic initiatives of the FWD group-wide distribution strategy, providing forward-looking views to management, and driving the overall strategic initiatives of Distribution across all business units.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate performance parameters and strategic initiatives of the FWD group-wide distribution strategy and provide forward-looking views to management
- Evaluate the distribution financial and strategic objectives for all countries and analyze the local business performance, risk, and competitive environment
- Drive the overall strategic initiatives of Distribution across all business units and ensure current and long-term profitability and growth
- Collaborate across FWD businesses to ensure alignment with the Company's overarching Vision and multi-channel strategy (HYBRID) and support distribution channel heads and marketing teams to set and achieve their respective KPIs
- Business unit performance analysis, historical trends, forecast, and inputs to strategic planning. Facilitating the decision-making process
- Degree holder with professional financial qualifications such as ASA, FSA, FIA, CPA, ACMA, FCMA, FCCA, CA, or equivalent
- Minimum 7 to 8 years of relevant working experience in the insurance industry, specifically exposure to working with distribution functions in reputable insurers
- Solid financial management background, especially in the area of financial reporting, performance management, and management accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to work with complex financial issues and concepts in a matrix organization structure across different geographies
- Attention to detail and strong business partnering, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrable experience of negotiating and influencing across a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to clearly communicate ideas, concepts, and results to both technical and non-technical audiences, whether written or oral
- Always demonstrate initiative and commitment, able to work independently, and demonstrated ability to meet tight timelines
- Able to manage multiple and conflicting requests from various parties
- Effective command of English, and preferably other languages relevant to markets FWD operates in
- Able to work in an evolving and dynamic environment and resilient to pressure
