About the Role

Deutsche Bank is seeking an experienced Vice President level Coverage Banker to join its Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFI) Coverage team in Hong Kong. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients across the Corporate Bank product suite, with a focus on Cash Management, Trust & Agency Services, Trade Finance & Lending, Securities Services, and Risk Management Solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior client contacts, providing holistic corporate banking solutions to achieve their objectives.
  • Cover and advise NBFI clients across the Corporate Bank product suite, identifying opportunities and structuring solutions in coordination with product partners.
  • Grow wallet share and generate significant revenue, recognizing revenue opportunities to cross-sell products for all areas of the bank.
  • Drive results against client plans for revenue generation, franchise transactions, alignment with product partners, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money laundering (AML) requirements in all dealings with existing and potential customers.
  • Conduct business reviews to ensure clients are satisfied with their products and services.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Academic degree (MSc) preferably within Finance or Economics.
  • 8+ years of experience within the financial sector, with relevant experience covering a wide portfolio in a relationship management or product sales function in a global financial institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and enhance relationships with senior client contacts.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, both oral and written; Cantonese is a plus.
  • Strong quantitative, numerical, and analytical skills.
  • High level of energy and accessibility, clear team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: effective and concise communicator at all levels, both verbal and written.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities, anticipates on internal and/or external business challenges.
  • Strong commitment to integrity, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Excel and modelling skills as well as PowerPoint knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of KYC, AML, risk management, and risk mitigation.
