Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is a leading financial institution with a global presence. We're seeking a talented Analyst to join our Global Corporate Banking Division Asia team, focusing on Financial Sponsor Coverage.

In this role, you'll work closely with senior members to assist in the coverage of Financial Sponsor activity, collaborating with various teams to drive and capture Sponsor-led investment and financing activities. You'll also support the Sponsor-led M&A finance strategy under PGI and coordinate sponsors' needs in accordance with regional account plans.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare pitch books and discussion materials to facilitate thematic dialogue, origination of M&A financing mandates, and strategic financing dialogue with financial sponsors.
  • Support senior team members in dialogue on financing transactions, preparing call notes to document key internal and client discussions.
  • Support the preparation of client plans using various internal and external data sources and compiling inputs from various coverage and product teams.
  • Help coordinate relationships with Financial Sponsor clients across Private Equity, Infra, Real Estate, and Credit verticals.
  • Ensure appropriate coordination with different sponsor relationship teams, including FI, LAF, and Sector Coverage teams.
  • Ensure all compliance and regulatory requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience at a leading Bank or Non-Bank Financial Institution.
  • Undergraduate degree in a business-related field.
  • Experience in debt transactions, developing presentations, and preferably a focus on leveraged and acquisition finance, relevant knowledge of financial sponsors.
  • Robust credit base with strong financial analysis skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments.
  • Action-oriented, energetic, influential, collaborative, and entrepreneurial.
  • Very strong MS Office skills with key capabilities in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of workstreams and projects.
