About the Role

Burberry Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Director to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth. As a key member of our retail leadership team, you will be responsible for setting the standard for our store and inspiring your team to achieve it.

You will be the driving force behind employee satisfaction and engagement, elevating team behaviors and driving customer satisfaction and loyalty. Your commercial acumen and operational expertise will be essential in driving performance and growth through excellent execution and commercial execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Brand Ambassador: Establish a constant focus on Brand, driving engagement, knowledge, and passion for the Brand across the store team.
  • Customer Experience: Be on the shop floor, acting as a brand ambassador and role modeling Burberry behaviors, monitoring, coaching, and providing feedback to the store team to deliver excellent customer experience.
  • Visual Merchandising: Maintain a luxury environment, ensuring excellent execution and maintenance of Visual Merchandising guidelines across the store.
  • Digital Assets: Drive the use of digital assets to enhance the customer experience.
  • Talent Development: Retain and develop talent, lead, inspire, and manage a high-performing, positive store team, continually elevating the capability of the store team through recruitment, staff development, mobility, and effective succession planning.
  • Product Knowledge: Have excellent product knowledge and drive the same standard across the store team, maintaining a strong understanding of product sales performance and optimizing sales of available inventory.
  • Customer Relationships: Nurture customer relationships, establishing and embedding customer-focused behaviors across the store team, building and cultivating long-term customer relationships and leading the team to do the same.
  • Store Performance: Drive store performance and productivity, building and maintaining familiarity with the local external environment, customers, competitors, and talent, maintaining a commercial mindset and continually identifying and converting opportunities to drive store performance.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence across all areas of the store, ensuring compliance with all corporate standards, policies, and initiatives, including Health and Safety.
Requirements
  • Alignment with Burberry Store Management Behaviors: Demonstrated alignment with the Burberry Store Management behaviors, including Service Focused, Leading to Inspire, Commercially Aware, Developing Talent, Driving Excellence, and Local language plus English.
  • Passion for Fashion: A passion for and interest in fashion, and a luxury ethos, digital awareness and interest, with an ability to comfortably navigate social media and e-commerce sites.
  • Experience: Experience in a luxury brand or in a luxury service and selling environment, retail management experience appropriate to the role, to be assessed based on the size and complexity of previous roles, metrics will include sales turnover and volume and the number and types of roles previously managed.
