POSITION SUMMARY

This position is accountable for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and execution of in-store visual merchandising projects across Kendo's APAC region. Reporting directly to the Director of Visual Merchandising APAC, this role will spearhead visual merchandising initiatives for product launches and seasonal updates across a diverse portfolio of brands and channels. The role requires significant collaboration with fixture manufacturers, retail partners, and internal stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee seasonal visual merchandising projects for gondolas, animations, and shop-in-shop environments, incorporating both two-dimensional and three-dimensional elements. Collaborate closely with International and Regional Brand teams, as well as the Global Visual Merchandising team, to ensure alignment on regional visual merchandising strategies. Develop regional space planning documents that pertain to visual merchandising seasonal updates, product displays, and overall store presentation. Provide internal stakeholders with insights and guidance on visual merchandising requirements for new product launches, based on global marketing strategies and product assortments. Maintain project schedules and timelines related to the annual visual merchandising update calendar and associated projects. Manage budget planning and invoice processing for designated brands and channels. Identify local suppliers for merchandising production in accordance with headquarters guidelines. Oversee projects with external vendors or consultants, including project briefings, production timelines, engineering, budget management, and prototype approvals. Work closely with display vendors to ensure design accuracy, compliance with specifications, and effective in-store execution. Audit and manage graphic masters, instruction sheets, and store directives. Support the Marketing team as a Creative Design Consultant for pop-up events and other initiatives. Negotiate costs with vendors as necessary. Manage timelines and deliverables for display artwork projects: brief projects to the Global Creative team, oversee production timelines, and coordinate file releases to vendors. Collaborate with the regional Production Designer and/or external vendors on artwork mechanicals for displays and animations. Report to the Global Store Design team for approval of new display and fixture designs for regional shop-in-shops. Ensure maintenance of regional shop-in-shop counters and displays. Facilitate bi-weekly meetings with internal partners and external vendors. Occasional travel may be required.

Profile

Bachelor's degree is required. 6+ years of demonstrated experience in visual merchandising at a corporate level within a high-end retail, multi-store environment. Strong project management skills, including vendor oversight and budget planning. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and document necessary revisions. Highly organized with a capacity to maintain process systems, documentation, and support tools. A proactive approach with a positive attitude. Capable of independently managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to convey ideas through sketches or other methods. Excellent communication and storytelling abilities during collaborative sessions. Proficient in computer applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign; experience with Sketchup is a plus.
