Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design distinctive, high-quality denim fabrics tailored to customer specifications and market demands.
  • Oversee the research and development as well as the production processes, including timelines for samples and mass production, fabric ordering, testing, and inspection.
  • Manage the approval process for color and shade lots.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors and clients.
  • Monitor factory performance, conducting regular audits and assessments.
  • Address and resolve any challenges in the fabric production process, offering recommendations and solutions.
  • Provide training and guidance to vendors, ensuring daily operations and production comply with corporate standards and policies.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Textile, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of merchandising experience with in-depth knowledge of denim fabric production, including spinning, weaving, dyeing, and washing techniques.
  • Familiarity with production processes and principles, as well as a solid understanding of sample development and bulk production.
  • Proactive approach with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for the role of Merchandising Manager – Denim.
