Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design distinctive, high-quality denim textiles tailored to client specifications and market trends.
  • Oversee the research and development as well as the production processes, including timelines for samples and mass production, fabric procurement, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Manage the approval process for color and shade lots.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients.
  • Monitor factory performance, conducting regular audits and evaluations.
  • Address any challenges in the fabric production process, offering solutions and recommendations.
  • Provide training and guidance to suppliers, ensuring that daily operations and production align with corporate standards and policies.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Textiles, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of merchandising experience with in-depth knowledge of denim fabric production, including spinning, weaving, dyeing, and washing techniques.
  • Familiarity with production methodologies and denim craftsmanship; strong understanding of sample development and bulk production processes.
  • Proactive approach with excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for the role of Merchandising Manager – Denim.
