POSITION SUMMARY

This position is accountable for overseeing the strategic planning, creation, and execution of in-store visual merchandising displays across Kendo's APAC region. Reporting directly to the Director of Visual Merchandising APAC, this role will spearhead visual merchandising projects for product launches and seasonal refreshes within a diverse, multi-brand, and multi-channel portfolio. The role necessitates extensive collaboration with fixture manufacturers, retail partners, and internal stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee seasonal visual merchandising projects for gondolas, animations, and shop-in-shop displays, including both two-dimensional and three-dimensional elements. Collaborate closely with International and Regional Brand teams, as well as the Global Visual Merchandising team, to ensure alignment on regional visual merchandising strategies. Generate regional space planning documents pertaining to seasonal visual merchandising updates, product displays, and overall store presentation. Provide internal stakeholders with insights and guidance on visual merchandising needs for new product launches based on global marketing strategies, product assortments, and fixture capabilities. Maintain project schedules and timelines associated with the annual visual merchandising update calendar and related initiatives. Manage budget planning and invoice processing for designated brands and channels. Identify local suppliers for merchandising production in accordance with headquarters guidelines. Oversee projects with external vendors or consultants, including project briefings, production and installation timelines, engineering, budget management, and prototype approvals. Work closely with display vendors to ensure design accuracy, compliance with components, precision in die-lines, and effective in-store execution. Audit and manage graphic masters, instruction sheets, and store directives. Assist the Marketing team as a Creative Design Consultant for pop-up events and other initiatives. Negotiate costs with vendors as necessary. Manage timelines and deliverables for display artwork: brief projects to the Global Creative team, oversee production timelines, and coordinate file releases to vendors. Collaborate with the regional Production Designer and/or external vendors on artwork mechanicals for displays and animations. Report to the Global Store Design team for approval of new display and fixture designs for regional shop-in-shops. Responsible for the upkeep of regional shop-in-shop counters and displays. Lead bi-weekly meetings with internal partners and external vendors. Travel may be required up to 10% of the year.

Profile

Bachelor's degree required. 6+ years of demonstrated visual merchandising experience at a corporate level within a high-end retail, multi-store environment. Proficient in project management, including vendor oversight and budget planning. Ability to review engineering drawings and document necessary revisions. Highly organized with the capability to maintain process systems, documentation, and support tools. Strong initiative and a positive approach. Capable of working independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Creative problem-solving skills, able to convey ideas through sketching or individual strengths. Excellent communication and storytelling abilities during collaborative sessions. Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign; experience with Sketchup is a plus.
