Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and production of in-store visual merchandising installations in Kendo's APAC region. Reporting to the Director, Visual Merchandising APAC, this position will manage visual merchandising initiatives for new launches and seasonal updates for a multi-brand, multi-channel portfolio. It involves extensive coordination between fixture companies, retailers, and internal partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage seasonal visual merchandising initiatives for gondola, animations, and shop-in-shop environments, inclusive of two and three-dimensional assets.
  • Partner closely with International & Regional Brand teams as well as the Global Visual Merchandising team for direction and alignment on regional VM strategies.
  • Produce regional space planning documents related to visual merchandising seasonal updates, product merchandising, and overall store visual presentation.
  • Provide internal partners with visibility and guidance on VM requirements for new launches based on global marketing strategy, product assortments, and fixture capacity.
  • Maintain project schedules and timelines associated with the annual VM update calendar and/or related projects.
  • Manage budget planning and invoice processing for assigned brands and channels.
  • Identify local vendors for merchandising production under HQ guidelines.
  • Manage projects with external vendors or consultants: project briefing, production and installation timelines, engineering, budget, prototype approvals.
  • Partner closely with display vendors to ensure design accuracy, component compliance, die-line precision, and in-store execution.
  • Audit and manage graphic masters, instruction sheets, and store directives.
  • Support the MKT team as a Creative Design Consultant for POP-UP and event-related projects.
  • Negotiate costs with vendors when required.
  • Project manage display artwork timelines and deliverables: brief projects to the Global Creative team, manage production timelines, and file release to vendors.
  • Partner closely with the regional Production Designer and/or external vendors on artwork mechanicals for displays and animations.
  • Have a dotted line reporting structure to the Global Store Design team for sign-off of new display and fixture designs for regional shop-in-shops.
  • Be responsible for regional shop-in-shop counter and display maintenance.
  • Lead bi-weekly calls with internal partners as well as external vendors.
  • Travel may be required up to 10% of the year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 6+ years of proven visual merchandising experience at a corporate level and in a high-end retail, multi-store environment.
  • Project Management skills, including vendor management and budget planning.
  • Ability to review engineering drawings and document required revisions.
  • Highly organized with the ability to maintain process systems, documentation, and support tools.
  • High level of initiative and positive approach.
  • Able to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Smart idea delivery via sketching or individual advantage.
  • Good communication and storytelling during working sessions and colleague connections.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic understanding of Photoshop and InDesign, experience with Sketchup a plus.
