As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the store, directing and overseeing all store functions, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and maximize profitability through effective sales strategies and team management.
  • Manage and deliver store sales performance, including sales forecasting and analysis.
  • Facilitate the implementation of product and sales strategies, and communicate information on sales goals and targets to the team.
  • Provide a unique and genuine customer experience that delights and engages every shopper.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performing team by instilling Valiram's Entrepreneurial Spirit, consistently demonstrating appreciation and encouragement, and facilitating learning opportunities.
  • Execute and maintain compliance of Store SOP, including store opening and closing, cost control, roster and manpower planning, visual merchandising, POS, and inventory management.
  • Cash collection accuracy and timeliness, and set up and maintain visual merchandising displays for promotional and seasonal activities.
  • Engage in innovation and productivity initiatives, generating potential ideas that may contribute to productivity improvements, and executing and motivating the team to contribute to productivity improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of total retail experience with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree (desirable) in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to communicate, influence, and negotiate effectively with all levels of leadership.
  • Proven organisational skills – able to manage multiple demands with competing priorities and allocate time effectively.
  • Ability to analyse situations and resolve issues with innovation and creativity.
  • Ability to challenge and influence operational processes.
