Senior Claims Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Claims Officer to join our team at Zurich Insurance Company. As a Senior Claims Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth daily operation of our claims section, ensuring that claims are processed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and monitor the claims operational flow, ensuring timely and accurate processing of claims.
- Conduct claims assessments in compliance with authority levels, making recommendations to senior management as needed.
- Support the claims function in the prompt and accurate settlement of claims, negotiating with various parties as required.
- Ensure that claims procedures are in compliance with company rules and regulations, implementing procedures to prevent claims abuse.
- Meet claim service standards and turnaround times, involving in approving claims cases within own authority limits.
- Handle enquiries and complaints from customers, sales force, regulatory bodies, and internal staff, providing administration support in claims area.
- Analyze and provide advice on complaint/appeal claim cases, developing strategies for resolution.
- Assist in preparing management reports, statistical and analytical claims reports, and provide proactive suggestions to enhance the quality of work.
- Participate in departmental and company projects as needed, assisting in ad-hoc projects, system enhancements, and tasks assigned by superiors.
- Provide backup support to teammates as needed, due to insufficient manpower in the team.
- Degree or Diploma holder, with relevant claims experience considered.
- Over 2 years of experience in Medical Insurance and Personal Accident claims handling.
- Professional qualification in Life Insurance, including FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute), is preferable.
- Knowledge of Medical and General Insurance products, claims procedures, and operations.
- Experience in handling claims-related projects is highly preferred.
- Basic medical skills are preferable.
- Strong customer-oriented mindset and skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to deal with difficult people and maturely handle awful situations with good complaint handling skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Chinese word processing.
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
