About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned operations manager with expertise in people management, technical support, and data center operations. This includes capacity planning, rack delivery, installation, decommission, and incident management.

This role is responsible for overseeing a team of operations professionals to provide comprehensive data center support for hardware and software of server and network equipment.

The successful candidate will also drive process improvements and manage team and staff performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the performance of team(s) of data center operation professionals
  • Ensure effective and efficient management of day-to-day data center operations, including queue management, 7/24 shift arrangement, and hardware logistics
  • Develop expertise across all aspects of data center operations
  • Ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are measured and met
  • Inspire and guide improvement in team processes, technology innovation, and automation
  • Manage large-scale events (outages) and act as the call leader
  • Manage and improve workflows and throughput for data center operations
  • Be passionate about the quality and quantity of services provided and strive to continuously improve customer experience
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience with direct reports as their performance manager
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of change, problem, and incident management
  • Literacy in security and customer data protection
  • Demonstrated communication skills in presentation, open discussion, and team coaching
  • Fluent English verbal and written proficiency
  • Financial understanding in annual budgeting, Capex, and Opex concepts
  • Project management skill
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of data center MEP infrastructure: power, cooling, and facilities management
  • In-depth knowledge of data center operations, processes, and continuous process improvement
  • Experience in data center safety and security measures
  • Knowledge of data center server capacity planning
  • Data mining/analysis skill
  • ITIL Foundation, PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, and/or risk-related certifications
  • Data center-related certification - CDCP/S/E, CDCMP/TP
  • Linux certification and/or administration experience - RHCSA/RHCE, LPIC, Linux+
