We are seeking an exceptional (Assistant) Manager for our Partnership & Business Development team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pop culture and experience in music and entertainment partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain Relationships

Develop and maintain relationships with media companies, advertising agencies, and entertainment brands to explore collaborative opportunities in pop culture, including Jpop and Kpop.

Identify and Pitch New Opportunities

Proactively identify and pitch new advertising and sponsorship prospects within the music and entertainment sectors; negotiate contracts and manage the end-to-end sales process.

Collaborate with Marketing and Operations Teams

Collaborate closely with marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of advertising and sponsorship activations featuring entertainment elements.

Analyze Performance Data

Analyze advertising and sponsorship performance data to optimize media offerings and maximize revenue generation in the entertainment context.

Secure Partnership Agreements

Identify, pitch, negotiate, and secure partnership agreements for temporary or seasonal activations, pop-up shops, and promotional events related to music and entertainment.

Stay Up-to-Date on Industry Trends

Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive activities, and new partnership models in pop culture to identify innovative opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Education

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, media, or a related field.

Experience

5+ years of experience in partnership/business development, event marketing, media/advertising sales, or a related field, with a focus on music and entertainment.

Proven Track Record

Proven track record of identifying, securing, and managing successful partnerships and media/advertising sales in the entertainment industry.

Interpersonal and Negotiation Skills

Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, particularly within the Jpop/Kpop and broader music sectors.

Communication Skills

Excellent communication skills in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English, with strong presentation and project management abilities.

Creative Mindset

Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique, engaging partnership concepts and media/advertising solutions relevant to the entertainment field.

Industry Knowledge

Familiarity with the media, advertising, retail, hospitality, and/or entertainment industries, with a focus on pop culture.
