Job Description:

The Network Operations Center Supervisor is a key role in HKT's Global Service Operation Center. This position plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our services, including IPLC, IEPL, Managed Data Service, IPVPN, GIA, Customized Network Services, Cloud service and Unified communications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of shift staff to monitor performance and provide on-spot technical advice/instructions to guarantee customer satisfaction, working 7x24 to ensure service levels are maintained for Global Service Customers.
  • Manage team members to provide timely progress updates, incident management, and operation requests for Global Service.
  • Effect circuit/service restoration during outages to meet targets agreed with customers through proper decision-making, negotiation, and coordination with distant administrations and other departments.
  • Reduce service/circuit downtime by making informed decisions on escalation to appropriate parties.
  • Maintain customer network services in a professional manner by guiding, training, and motivating staff.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the centers by reviewing and recommending new techniques and operating methods.
  • Support preventive and corrective measures of center facilities and global service.
  • Ensure physical and environmental conditions of PCCW Global Network / Service Operations Center remain safe.
  • Comply with PCCW Global Network Operation Center information security policy and PCCW Group policies on Personal Data Privacy.

Qualification/Skills:

  • A University Degree in Electronic/Information Technology Engineering with 4 years' experience in Data Center/Data communication field or Certificate in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or City & Guild Full Technological Certificate with 8 years relevant experience in data communication field.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital transmission standards and familiarity with fault management techniques/procedures.
  • Proven people management skills across various levels.
  • Strong leadership on vendor management and communication skills to lead and motivate subordinates.
  • Customer-oriented initiative, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
  • Detailed oriented and organized with flexibility to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with an ability to quickly identify root causes.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is preferable.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills in English and Chinese.

Salary: HK$120,000 - HK$180,000 per annum, depending on experience. No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
