HSBC Global Asset Management is a leading investment management business serving clients worldwide. Our team is seeking a high-calibre professional to join as Senior Business Development Manager, China Institutional Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to target institutional clients in China and Macau.
  • Design plans to generate new business and increase revenue, achieving sales and asset growth targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business leads, coordinating with investment teams and support platforms to close deals and attract new clients.
  • Focus on profitable asset growth, showcasing HSBC's long-term investment capabilities.
  • Proactively identify product gaps and contribute to the development of the business's long-term vision and product strategy.
  • Manage key clients to grow and cross-sell portfolios.
  • Represent HSBC AM at external conferences and events.

Requirements:

  • At least 10+ years of relevant asset management experience.
  • Proven track record in sales and business development.
  • Existing client contact details to quickly start and fundraise.
  • Deep understanding of investment solutions and technical knowledge of various investment management products.
  • Good knowledge of China regulations.
  • Excellent presentation, relationship management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese Mandarin (native level a strong advantage).
  • Strong proactive sales skills, self-starter, and proven sales track record.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work across multiple groups, global regions, and lines of business.
  • Highly organized, achievement-oriented, and hands-on mentality.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good comfort and ability in working at all levels of seniority.
