Business Banking Relationship Manager

About the Role
We are currently seeking a professional to join our Commercial Banking department as a Relationship Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring a portfolio of SME customers by extending appropriate commercial banking facilities. You will also be expected to meet or exceed business targets while maintaining close business relationships with customers and acquiring new relationships through key customers and strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of SME customers, extending commercial banking facilities as needed
- Meet or exceed business targets while maintaining close relationships with customers
- Acquire new relationships through key customers and strategic partners
- Provide guidance and coaching to junior members of the team
- Monitor the quality of the loan book and ensure all relevant control measures are in place
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a university degree in Banking, Business Management, Finance, or a related discipline. You will also require 5 years of sales and marketing experience in commercial lending, preferably in SME business. Additionally, you will need to pass the Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examinations and fulfill the competency requirements to carry out regulated activities as defined under the Securities and Futures Ordinance. Strong self-motivation, sales and customer orientation, and excellent analytical skills are also essential. Proficiency in both English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua an advantage, is required. A high level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to delivering exceptional quality services is also necessary.
