Financial Officer I

The selected candidates will be allocated to various roles (Payments, Receipts, and Payroll) within the Finance Department based on their expertise and relevant professional experience. Primary responsibilities include:
- Managing accounts payable, which encompasses vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and payments for student activities;
- Overseeing accounts receivable, including the generation of invoices/debit notes and the collection of fees and charges;
- Administering payroll and benefit disbursements for both full-time and part-time employees;
- Assisting in the monthly processing of contributions to ORSO/MPF schemes and preparing tax documentation;
- Compiling general ledger journal entries, schedules, and conducting bank account reconciliations;
- Executing any additional ad-hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE, including English Language, Chinese Language, and Mathematics, along with at least 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in higher education institutions or large organizations;
- Proficiency in computer applications with strong skills in Excel;
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- A self-motivated individual with a keen attention to detail is essential.
- Experience with Oracle Financials, Banner Students/Payroll, or other ERP systems is advantageous.
Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Accounts Officer II.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to undertake a written assessment.
Compensation and Employment Terms
The remuneration package will be competitive and will align with qualifications and experience. The appointment will be on a fixed-term contract, with fringe benefits that include gratuity, leave, and medical and dental coverage.
