Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to join our team at Classy Wheeler Limited. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing deep-level support and IT architecture services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design, implement, and support technology solutions and integrated systems to meet customer requirements.
  2. Provide technical consultancy and prepare proposals/reports/documentations for solutions to meet customer technology and service needs.
  3. Perform project management and IT service management tasks as needed.
  4. Support IT infrastructure planning and consulting services to customers.
  5. Enable ITIL Life Cycle and industrial and technology standards.
  6. Support network infrastructure projects implementation to meet service target launch dates.
  7. Perform server and system administration, monitor application performance and availability.
  8. Perform routine tasks such as backup jobs and system patch updates.
  9. Support and manage backup systems, resolve and return failure backup jobs.
  10. Support system maintenance, failover, and DR drill activities.
  11. Maintain server inventory, operation documents, and procedures up to date.
Requirements
  1. Diploma/University graduate with above 5 years in relevant IT infrastructure roles.
  2. Experience in supporting and servicing core enterprise infrastructure environments in corporations.
  3. Solid knowledge in Wintel Solutions (e.g. operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange email with archiving solution, MS System Center, storage and backup solution, etc.).
  4. Knowledge in virtualization technology such as VMware and Hyper-V, and backup technology such as Veeam, Commvault, and Symantec is preferred.
  5. Knowledge/experience in other IT infrastructure areas (e.g. infrastructure networking, heterogeneous IT environment with different Wintel/Unix/Linux platform, DR and virtualization, Oracle and SQL database clustering, infrastructure design, Data Centre, etc.) is an advantage.
  6. Strong team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Strong decision-making, problem-solving skills, project management skills, highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivating.
  8. Ability to work calmly under pressure, multitask, prioritize independently, and within a team environment.
  9. ITIL Foundation/MCSE/CCNA certified is preferred.
Additional Requirements
  1. Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline.
  2. Certificate holder of MCSA and MCSE would be an advantage.
  3. With 3 years hands-on experience with Windows and Linux system administration.
  4. Experience in Windows AD, VMWare, backup system administration.
  5. Experience in Windows and Linux system and patch installation.
  6. Working knowledge on IP network and network devices.
  7. Experience in Windows and Unix shell scripting writing is an advantage.
  8. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Good command in spoken and written English and Chinese.
