About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Classy Wheeler Limited. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our IT infrastructure, including Windows and UNIX server administration, system configuration, monitoring, and backup.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical support and maintenance for our IT infrastructure, including Windows and UNIX server administration, system configuration, monitoring, and backup.
  2. Apply system patches and perform regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal system performance.
  3. Provide support on Windows and UNIX server administration, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  4. Perform diagnosis on system hardware and software problems, and implement solutions to resolve issues.
  5. Maintain technical and reference documents to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  6. Provide internal support to our VDI Platform, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  7. Plan and manage the implementation of network and technology projects, working closely with internal teams and external customers.
  8. Organize project schedules and resources with customers, engineers, vendors, and third parties.
  9. Evaluate the latest technologies and products to ensure they meet our business needs.
  10. Perform business and market analysis, and prepare presentations and proposals to support project implementation.
  11. Monitor project status, quality, material procurement, and progress to ensure successful project delivery.
  12. Design and implement network infrastructure to support business needs.
  13. Prepare and present project schedules to senior management.
  14. Provide user manuals and technical documents for our systems.
  15. Carry out system integration tests and user acceptance tests to ensure system stability in production.
  16. Perform system checking and implementation of programs for performance tuning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  17. Provide consultancy services covering project implementation, post-production support, and day-to-day operations on Linux Platform for mission-critical systems.
  18. Console management, remote monitoring, and support of our IT infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, servers/network, and storage.
  19. Manage and execute the job scheduling process according to our pre-defined work schedule.
  20. Responsible for incident management, change management, problem management, escalation, and case follow-up.
Requirements
  1. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
  2. A minimum of 2 years' experience in Windows 2003 and 2012 server administration.
  3. Solid working experience in Windows AD and cluster administration.
  4. Knowledge of AIX, Linux, IBM Tivoli, IBM MQ, IBM TSM, Symantec Netbackup/Backup Exec is preferred.
  5. Knowledge of networking and firewall, storage, SAN switch, load balance.
  6. A good team player with analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and good interpersonal skills.
  7. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
Additional Requirements
  1. High diploma or above in Information Technology and related disciplines.
  2. 1 to 3 years' hands-on experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure support using Citrix XenApp, Xendesktop technologies.
  3. Solid work experience in virtualization technologies such as VMware VSphere suite and Citrix Xenserver.
  4. Good interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  5. Fresh graduates will also be considered.
