As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and support of server, storage, and backup systems to ensure the required service level.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, implement, configure, and administer servers, storage, and backup systems.
- Perform Unix, Linux server upgrades, patching, and administration.
- Assist in evaluating and standardizing server, storage, including hardware and software.
- Assist in planning the enhancement and refreshment of related technology infrastructure.
- Define IT policy and standards pertaining to Unix/Linux and Backup.
- Support upgrade and migration projects, such as OS upgrades, SAN storage EOL migrations.
- Configure and administer SAN storage and SAN switches.
- Support the Disaster Recovery Strategy.
- Provide 3rd-level support for problem resolution, escalated from outsourcing vendors.
- Enhance backup sites between PRD/DR/UAT/DEV environments.
- Assist with data center operations, including hardware moves, replacements, and vendor management.
- Set up and execute backup policies.
- Ensure adherence to security policies and standards for infrastructure.
- Participate in infrastructure support.
- Degree holder in Information Technology or related discipline.
- At least 3 years' experience in Unix/Linux server, SAN storage, and backup tools implementation and support.
- Certification in RHCE, Ansible, and/or Storage device is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years' experience in supporting UNIX/Linux and storage devices (Huawei, NetApp, DELL), backup tools (CommVault/Netbackup).
- Hands-on experience in data center operations, familiar with server hardware specifications, cabling, and equipment.
- Solid working experience in SAN storage and SAN switch administration.
- Good knowledge of network protocols, Ethernet, VLAN, routing, and IP.
- Familiar with Ansible, shell scripting is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage vendors for project implementation and BAU supports.
- Able to work or support production issues during non-office hours.
