Role Overview

Reporting to: Head of Planning - Inflight Services

This position takes a comprehensive approach to the long-term strategy for Inflight Service Delivery (ISD). The incumbent will develop strategic initiatives focused on resource planning for ISD, taking into account the current operational landscape, and will provide insights on recruitment, rostering, and cabin crew operations.

The individual will play a pivotal role in managing cabin crew resources, rosters, and operational activities. Collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders will be essential for designing and executing strategic initiatives, as well as leading data analytics projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver insights and consultancy support to guide ISD's strategic direction.
  • Conduct studies such as cost and trend analyses, scenario simulations, etc., to evaluate current strategies and to formulate and implement new initiatives related to crew resources and operations.
  • Collaborate with the FOP Crew Resources Team, internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to establish and maintain rules and policies, and to develop strategies for crew roster and resource management.
  • Lead data analytics projects focused on resource planning and crew lifestyle preferences.
  • Propose optimized plans that support management's objectives in sustaining business growth while addressing crew lifestyle needs, including lifestyle schemes.
  • Engage in key collaborations with Flight Operations, Finance, People, Project Management Office, and other departments to manage cross-functional projects.
  • Design, monitor, and analyze relevant KPIs related to operational aspects, providing recommendations for potential improvements.
  • Regularly lead crew consultation groups to gather feedback and enhance rostering practices.
  • Support ISD quality and safety outcomes, including the implementation and monitoring of related activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on roster compliance and fulfillment rates in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage all incident reports related to crew-facing systems.
  • Facilitate discussions on system enhancements with IT teams as the system owner of various ISD systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in consulting or the airline industry.
  • Experience in team leadership is preferred.
  • Expertise in Inflight Service Delivery and Crew Operations is advantageous.
  • Extensive knowledge of manpower planning and management, particularly in rostering and flight time limitations, is preferred.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, along with good computing and statistical abilities.
  • Proficient project management skills.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Practical skills in Macros, VBA, and SQL are preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
