Cathay Pacific Airways Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Roster and Strategic Planning Lead to join our team.

About the Role

This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in shaping the future of our Inflight Service Delivery (ISD) operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize crew resources and rostering practices, ensuring seamless delivery of our services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize crew resources and rostering practices
  • Provide insights and consultancy support to ISD's direction and strategic planning
  • Carry out studies to review the current strategy, plan, and develop new initiatives on crew resources and related operations
  • Work with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external parties to set out and maintain rules and policies, and develop crew roster and resources management strategies
  • Lead data analytic projects on resources planning and lifestyle preference
  • Propose an optimized plan and support management directions in sustaining business growth and balancing crew lifestyle needs
  • Participate in key liaison with Flight Operations, Finance, People, Project Management Office, and other departments, and manage cross-functional projects
  • Design, monitor, and analyze relevant KPIs on operation aspects, and provide recommendations on potential areas of improvement
  • Lead crew consultation group regularly to gather feedback and enhance crew rostering practices
  • Support ISD quality and safety outcomes, including implementation and monitoring of related activities and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and report on roster compliance and fulfillment rate with relevant regulations and standards
  • Manage all incident reports for crew-facing systems
  • Drive system enhancement discussion with IT teams as the system owner of various ISD systems
Requirements
  • University Degree
  • At least 5-7 years relevant work experience in consulting or airline industry
  • Team leading experience is preferred
  • Expertise in Inflight Service Delivery and Crew Operations is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge on manpower planning and management (especially on rostering and flight time limitations) is preferred
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills; good computing and statistical ability
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Practical skills on Macros, VBA, and SQL preferred
  • Good communication and organizational skills
