About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Cathay Pacific Airways Limited as a Strategic Planning and Operations Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for formulating long-term strategic initiatives on Inflight Service Delivery (ISD) resources planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide insights and consultancy support to ISD's direction and strategic planning
  • Carry out studies, e.g., cost & trend analysis, scenario simulations, etc., to review the current strategy, plan, and develop and implement new initiatives on crew resources and related operations
  • Work with FOP Crew Resources Team, internal stakeholders, vendors, and external parties to set out/maintain the rules and policies, and develop crew roster and resources management strategies
  • Lead data analytic projects on resources planning and lifestyle preference
  • Propose an optimized plan and support management directions in sustaining business growth and balancing crew lifestyle needs, for example, lifestyle schemes
  • Participate in key liaison with Flight Operations, Finance, People, Project Management Office, and other departments and manage cross-functional projects
  • Design, monitor, and analyze relevant KPIs on operation aspects, and provide recommendations on potential areas of improvement
  • Lead crew consultation group regularly to gather feedback and enhance the crew rostering practices
  • Support ISD quality and safety outcomes, including implementation and monitoring of related activities and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and report on roster compliance and fulfillment rate with relevant regulations and standards
  • Manage all incident reports for crew-facing systems
About You

To succeed in this role, you should have a University Degree and at least 5-7 years of relevant work experience in consulting or the airline industry. Team leading experience is preferred, and expertise in Inflight Service Delivery and Crew Operations is a plus. You should also have extensive knowledge of manpower planning and management, especially on rostering and flight time limitations. Strong numerical and analytical skills, good computing and statistical ability, strong project management skills, and proficiency in MS Office are essential. Practical skills on Macros, VBA, and SQL are preferred, and good communication and organizational skills are required.

We offer a competitive salary of around HKD 900,000 - HKD 1,200,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for career growth and development.
